Server Statement**
----------
“Project Stardust’s purpose is to create an enhanced RP environment new to Gmod and unique to Gmod. We wish to provide a server worthy of players to enjoy and free to the general populace compared to certain servers that wish for profit. The gamemode is free to all to utilize by asking high staff/staff.
Free RP is the main incentive for the server as we wish to create an RP environment in which players can decide on what they wish to do beginning with groups and so forth within our survival RP. People can make bounty guilds, citizen based shops selling items on discords, and so on. Free RP has consequences such as failRP if you abuse it and we wish to not have to modify our idea of Free RP.”
**Chapter 2
The following gamemode is provided by the staff/development of Project Stardust to create a survival based group RP on Gmod Star Wars RP. Utilizing the Helix Gamemode, a script similar to Nutscript, the server provides several types of mechanics such as looting, killing, faction rp, diverse player creation, and much more. The gamemode is made such that gameplay is different everyday to counteract Gmod’s typical case of stagnant roleplay.
The incentive of the guidebook is to clarify information for players new and old. This guidebook is subject to change constantly as the gamemode is constantly updating on a weekly to monthly basis by the developers and playerbase.
Players can create their own groups within the following factions:

Server Rules**
----------
Free RP: “The Idea of Free RP is to allow players to make groups and rp they want within the server. What you can’t do with Free RP is metagame your job to be able to dodge RP scenarios. There are bound to be consequences to what RP you do.”
Valid Example: “Utilizing a Rogue Clone Unit which strays from the Empire.”
Invalid Example: “Claiming yourself to be the Dark Lord and KOS people on sight.”
RDM: “RDM is short for Random Death Match, which is where someone kills another person for no reason, but note, it is not RDM if they have a valid rp reason from Free RP.”
Valid Example: “You’re a citizen who killed an imperial officer in self defense.”
“A citizen stabs an army trooper for killing their son.”
Invalid Example: “You hate the player OOC so you kill them.”
FailRP: “Failing to RP correctly intentionally. Doing something your job shouldn’t do.”
Valid Example: “Calling your citizen character by a custom name and following citizen rule.”
Invalid Example: “Calling your citizen character Chris Hansen and catching predators via rdming.”
Metagaming: “Utilizing OOC information towards IC reasons.”
Example: “Knowing someone will be kidnapped ooc so you whisper to the target IC.”
**Chapter 3.5
PK: “To game end someone you must use a “/me action” and show intent to kill within a single action. If you fail to kill them this grants them an opportunity to attack back. When all of this done the validity of a pk is completely reliant on admin discretion and screenshots.”
Valid Example: “Using screenshots and admin verification a player successfully finishes a player in one /me.”
Invalid Example: “A player used /me to signal killing a player with a stab via vibro blade then continued to stab a player to death over multiple attacks.”
NITRP: “No Intention To Roleplay; If you have no intention to roleplay on the server, you’ll be removed from the server.”
Example: “Running around the map screaming hate speech IRL. Failing to oblige with staff discretion.”
Job Abuse: “Utilizing your job intentionally to unfair advantages.”
Example: “Playing as a rebel to intentionally run into the Imperial Zone mass rdming players under the “Republic.”
**Chapter 4
While playing on the server, you will come across various crafting stations. While using these stations you may craft items, although you may not be great at it. This is where professions come in.
Professions are more or less the abilities a character you own can utilize. You get up to 2 professions and each profession gives access to some form of currency, weapons, or armor provided.

“The server is based off the survival rp genre, meaning players will join factions, groups which will help dictate the preference of gameplay on the server. Certain factions have different types of gameplay, but overall interlap with one another.”
Free Citizens are neutral, indifferent forces from the likes of the Galactic Empire, and the surrounding rebel cells that stand to oppose it. All players start out as a Free Citizen in the gamemode, completely irrelevant in the scope of the larger players. There are no boundaries to being a free-for-all man apart from the restrictions you embed on yourself, and also the logistics to help back your claims.
Freelancers benefit from having no real consequences to their actions apart from dying permanently in role-play situations, there is nothing to reprimand in any social complex apart from your character’s mortality and loadout. Your character is what you wish for it to become on the server.
2. **Imperial Faction**
The Imperial Faction is the force that has occupied the Iokath zone under the Galactic Empire. Players part of the Imperial Faction will partake in more of a military like setting but will still have the aspect of taking part in looting and much more. Being part of the army dictates your moves as now there are restrictions regarding following orders from higher ups.
Imperials benefit from having a much more sustainable lifestyle compared to the Free Citizens, as this applies to Imperial Citizens as well. However, the benefit isn’t strong enough to force players to have to be imperial in order to gain an edge on the server. The Imperial Faction restricts the idea of what Freelancers can do, as now you’re limited to a group rp than solo. If you enjoy the idea of being part of a uniform military RP under leadership, this is for you.
3. **Rebel Alliance**
The Rebel Alliance contains players who wish to put a priority towards dealing with the Imperial Faction. Players part of the Rebellion are similar in regards to both Free Citizens and Imperial Faction in terms of their RP. If done correctly, the Rebel Alliance can contain the benefits of military styled RP with the freedom of a free citizen.
Rebels benefit from being able to hide themselves amongst a crowd, blending in with the environment compared being able to recognize the Imperial Army. Rebel is more of a title rather than a job, so no need to worry about metagaming. Those who enjoy the idea of attacking imperials can find themselves playing this. You’re practically terrorists popping out deciding to kidnap or kill targets.
The Hutt Cartel are players under the alignment of the Hutts, either willingly or not. Players who take part in the Hutt Cartel are typically leaning towards creating their character as a smuggler or hunter for the Hutts, taking pay from other players to make certain actions.
Started as a mod for Half-Life, now it’s got its own full life. Building and editing maps turned out to be no less fun than killing each other on premade maps. So now this mod is a game by itself, encouraging more and more players to use their creativity. It can even be called “metagame” because creating new add-ons and item collections for it has become a self-sufficient art.
Builder’s Paradise
Looking very close to Valve games like Half-Life, Garry’s Mod is not about passing through with a mission or reaching a certain goal. It’s about building your world using the game’s physics.
Your main tool is Physics Gun. It is used to create the object you select, position it, rotate if necessary, and place on the map. Select it from the list and then aim and shoot to place it right there. Beware: if you place an object in an inappropriate place, it may behave unexpectedly, but according to physics. For example, put it in the midair, and it will fall down. Another tool has a simple name of Tool Gun. It’s used for the transformation of objects or creating combinations. You can create interactive buttons, so the scene you build becomes more interactive.
The list of objects you can insert is really enormous. Some are imported from games based on the Source engine, and some have been created by players’ community and organized into collections. There are NPC’s, ragdoll objects, various items or actions (like explosions). All of them can interact considering their parameters, and sometimes it’s very unexpected and even funny.
Like the original games. GMod supports multiplayer mode. No wonder Garry’s Mod has become a platform for creating its own inner games and contests. The most prominent are Trouble in Terrorist Town (a Mafia-like game), Prop Hunt (virtual hide-and-seek), Hunger Games (a tribute to the famous series), and different role-playing game modes, from serious to parody, including DarkRP, PoliceRP, StarWarsRP and so on. There are more and more of them, so you can easily combine the joy of creation with traditional game modes.
There are even add-ons and secondary mods developed by the community. One of them (Wiremod) adds a lot of electronic devices you can construct and use right within your GMod scenes. It’s hard to imagine how long Garry’s Mod review would be if mentioning them all.
Though the developer of the original version, Garry Newman, has mentioned the potential sequel, it probably will never be released, or (if it ever is) will have no common base with the current GMod. So the original one is here to stay. In 2018 the community is still growing, and the add-ons are available in Steam where Garry’s Mod download is available as well.
Looks and Sounds Half-Alive
There’s no surprise the environment in Garry’s Mod looks much like that of Counter-Strike or Half-Life: it’s been built upon the same engine. In 2018 graphics may seem a bit dated, but after Minecraft, it shouldn’t sound bad.
By the way, on sounds. The game has a lot of different sounds for different modes, and some of them are too funny to be taken seriously; others intend to copy real events or objects but are way too simple, not even cartoonish. They do their job, though, and sometimes make the game even more surrealistic.
You can create videos from this game for different purposes. It may be the simulation of some famous movie, show or real life episode; a model of an incident made without real filming and acting; some funny standalone video. Yes, it takes some artful approach, but it’s the place where your creativity is wanted.

Being initially made for Windows only, by 2018 Garry’s Mod has been ported to Mac OS X and Linux. Any mobile or console ports are not even expected. Not being standalone, Garry’s Mod game requires at least one another Source-powered game. In fact, you’ll have to buy two games, and chances are that the additional one will be left and abandoned soon, used only as an object base for GMod. And not even the only one: there are various downloadable collections.

So What’s That
Garry’s Mod is a perfect place to unleash your creativity, and it’s not so expensive, even keeping in mind that you’ll have to have one more game to provide the engine and the first objects. It’s infinitely replayable, and if you like construction games, it will bring the endless fun.
Gmod Military Rp Gamemode Download
The fun gets even bigger if you’re a designer or a programmer. Then you can create your own objects (or objects set) and make them available for other users. This is a subject of some contests around GMod. But even if you’re not, you only benefit from this option by accessing more good and miscellaneous content. Garry’s Mod is more a lifestyle than the game. It’s the perfect variant for those who as a child preferred disassembling toys to simply playing. This is the toy that only gets better being disassembled and reassembled with creativity.
